Heidi brings nearly two decades of financial services experience and a relentless commitment to personal and professional growth. While progressing through five advancing roles at a national financial institution, she was widely recognized for her leadership and client-first approach serving her office’s affluent segment. Heidi’s passion for helping clients, combined with her strong work ethic and dedication to learning, have led her to pursue a new chapter as an Associate Advisor, further deepening her expertise in comprehensive financial planning. Originally from Colorado, she now calls Arizona home, has been happily married for almost 15 years and is a proud mom of three. Outside of work, she loves hiking, San Diego beaches, and making memories with her family at Disneyland.
As a Certified Financial Therapist – level one, Jason brings a unique perspective to Foundation. He enjoys the human side of financial planning and strives to connect with people to help understand their motivations, identify what drives them, and discover any issues. This allows us to assist clients by helping them think, feel, communicate, and behave with money differently based upon the latest evidence based financial therapy research and techniques. Jason is also a self-described financial planning geek. In addition to becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, he obtained his master’s degree in financial planning (MSFP) earning a 4.00 GPA, with a concentration in financial therapy, and consumes a lot of financial planning content (he’s listened to every Michael Kitces podcast!). Like Brody, Jason began his studies and career in accounting allowing him to bring a bit of a tax and accounting perspective to the table as well. Jason lives in Utah with his wife where they were just joined by their first child! He enjoys creating projects with his 3D printer. Dedicated mother and results-driven operations professional with experience in financial services, behavioral management, and project management. Jaimee excels at delivering efficiency through a proactive, detail-oriented approach. Outside of work, Jaimee enjoys supporting her children in year-round sports, paddle boarding, live music, and travel.
Aaron Gilman serves as the Chief Investment Officer for Independent Financial Partners and the President of IFP Asset Management. He conducts analytical research and due diligence for all investment types, portfolio analyses and construction, portfolio management, and directs all activities in IFP’s asset management group. Mr. Gilman also serves as the head of the IFP Investment Advisory Committee.
Pete Nunley conducts due diligence for investments and also helps manage IFPAM’s model portfolios. Additionally, Pete helps advisors with all investment-related tasks, including researching stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds, constructing portfolios, and building customized investment strategies. Pete also oversees strategy implementation within accounts on Pershing, Schwab, Fidelity, and SEI. Pete serves on IFP’s Investment Advisory Committee.
Hessum is responsible for processing advisory fees and serves as a liaison to advisors with regards to various billing needs with external and internal contacts. He previously has worked on a variety of quantitative trading projects with privately held firms and individual clients and was an early investor in Bitcoin.
Jake Muehlschlegel is responsible for performing the initial and on-going due diligence of alternative investments at IFP. Alternative investments include private real estate, hedge funds, private equity/credit, and real assets. Jake also serves as an extension of IFP’s wealth management teams to provide insight on manager selection and customized alternative strategies. Lastly, Jake assists IFP’s wealth management teams in completing complex tax strategies such as securitized 1031 exchanges and Qualified Opportunity Zone investments.
